Located in the beautiful Eastern Townships, Melanie has developed a real interest in Pilates since she started college, more than 15 years ago. This training technique balancing the body and allowing both physical and mental well-being immediately charmed her.

In order to offer specialized and safe sessions, she attended the Mat Plus intensive training at Praxis Studio, in Montreal. The reputed training for the STOTT PILATES® method. Once the training completed, in May 2013, she took a short break (she became a mother!). The STOTT PILATES® IMP certification was subsequently confirmed in June 2017.

The training offered will help you to achieve your goals, to find or maintain your mobility, to increase your strength and to balance your body.

Methodology presentation

STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to the original training method created by
Mr. Joseph Pilates. Co-founders Lindsay and Moira Merrithew, surrounded by a team of physical therapists, physiotherapists, sports physicians and coaching professionals, have worked more than 20 years to refine and develop the STOTT PILATES® training method.

The training

STOTT PILATES® combines modern training principles and is applying them to proven and biomechanically effective practices, to rehabilitation and
to the improvement of sports performances. The basic concepts of Pilates original features, proven to be effective, have been studied and
re-developed into a complete form of training, in harmony with the body's original balance. STOTT PILATES® exercises will help to maintain the natural curves of the spine and to balance joints muscles. A great attention is brought to the stability of the scapular and pelvic belts, and all body parts are integrated to find unity. The preparation stages of the exercises and
the many modifications of the movements that are well studied makes Pilates accessible for different types of postures as well as for specific needs or everyday life.

Cash or Interac transfer are accepted for payments.

Required material : sport clothing, 1h of "me" time, a good floor mat (1cm thick) and a small space of your own - you must be able to lie down on the floor, arms and legs apart, without touching walls or furniture surrounding you -. Your instructor can also provide the floor mat for private sessions, as well as small equipment (foam roller, balls, etc).
